Chasers going to trial!
Wednesday March 12th 2008, 10:25 am

A date has been set for the trial of eleven actors and staffers of ABC’s The Chaser’s War On Everything, who famously breached APEC security cordons in a fake Canadian diplomatic motorcade, getting within metres of Shrubya’s hotel, with Chas dressed as Osama bin Laden.

I do have the feeling that the Iemma govt will regret bringing this to trial. Give the Chasers a platform and they will put you on it and make you look stoopid. Iemma needs no help in that regard. A trial will also allow discovery of certain materials from the cops, which will give an insight into the heavy-handed policing farce that was the Sydney APEC summit, some of which won’t seem to go away.

Let the games begin!

It is a total farce that the guys from Chaser are going to trial over this. They did the community a good service by showing us all how inadequate the security at APEC was – and this was all done without causing danger or harm to anyone, and created a good laugh for many.

The point is – if you are going to spend millions of dollars on police security, you’d better make sure it actually works. That of course does not involve disgraceful acts like a group of police throwing an innocent photographer to the ground with brute force.

For those who have forgotten the Bronstein incident…

Lest we forget how unfettered, anonymous police powers are used… especially against petite, perhaps 50kg female photogs.

Hanging’s too good for these miscreants.

Make them sit through every one of the Rodent’s ‘Only in America’ self serving dissertations on how he was both misunderstood and misjudged.

(Then they would understand that there are there are human rights violations more frightening than waterboarding.)

wot typos, Guv?

Extended exposure to J Ho’s crappery is banned under the Geneva Convention. That the American Enterprise Institute subjected themselves to it is plainly attributable to Stockholm Syndrome.
