There&#8217;s yet another roughly 175 cases of wrongful DIMIA jailings yet before the Ombudsman.<\/p>\n<p>DIMIA have bought the silence of a number of the victims of wrongful imprisonment at an average cost of around <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/newsitems\/200606\/s1659933.htm\">$75,000 per<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I reckon that&#8217;s damn good value for money! Had DIMIA illegally incarcerated <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/machinegunkeyboard.com\/?p=140\">little old immigrant me<\/a>, they&#8217;d be parting with a <em><strong>lot<\/strong><\/em> more than $75K.<\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, I&#8217;ll be popping out for a coffee later on this arvo. I could use some extra dough and I don&#8217;t have much on for the next week or so. Maybe I could hit the DIMIA lotto, too.
