Roe v. Wade 32 years ago

Maureen Turner of the Hartford Advocate describes the most glaring evidence of Bush’s intentions:

“In 2003, he signed the so-called partial-birth abortion act, the first piece of legislation since the Roe decision that makes an abortion procedure illegal. He’s also pumped hundreds of millions into questionable abstinence-only sex education programs, while choking support for more comprehensive family-planning programs; nominated aggressively anti-choice candidates to federal courts and government positions; killed funding for international health programs that focus on reproductive issues; and supported other measures that limit reproductive freedom.”

More on the status of the partial-birth abortion act.

Still Our Rights. Still Our bodies. Still Our Choice.

god forbid that religious wowsers have enough tact and class to abstain from harassing women. and since when have women become such a burden that anti-abortionists are willingly murdering them by bombing womens’ clinics. the true meaning of feminism is being proud of your ability to manage your own body.
