“She had high heels on”
Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not own one pair of sensible shoes. I am therefore hugely impressed by the heroine and the hero in this story!
My heroine is a very fast policewoman who chased a man down Chapel Street.
My hero is a passer-by who noticed a woman’s shoes and was impressed by how fast she was going in them.

Gentlemen’s interest in anything mechanical is perfectly natural and thoroughly understandable. Any ladies who share these interests are, of course, highly appreciated and cherished ….. and this is as it should be.
However, ladies’ obsession with shoes ….. usually gaudy, impractical and looking uncomfortable ….. is a complete mystery to me as it is to almost every other gentleman I know. It is an obsession that seems to affect almost all women, whether they are nice or nasty, tall or petite, buxom or slim. But why?

Why? Because they are wearable art, engineering and architecture.

Suki, don’t lie. You have practical causes for your senseless shoes; they make you 6″ taller (prevents drowning when navigating bullshit) and protect your delicate tootsies whilst you are kicking a mountain of arse.

Be nice! Wouldn’t it be more genteel to say that they elevate Suki 150mm so that she has a better view of the world and all its wonders ….. and that they protect her delicate tootsies whist persuading others of the wisdom of her opinions and enlightening them as to the folly of their own careless actions. See? Doesn’t that sound nicer? (Gee, I’m starting to sound like a senior public servant or parliamentarian’s staffer already ….. wonder if I can score a salary to match it?)
Suki:
Thanks for such a concise answer ….. now I can tell other blokes I have learnt the deepest secret of the ladies. 🙂

Can’t believe you could run in a pair of Biviano shoes though – if you threw them at someone they would however be instantly disabled.
Those spikes look good because they look cruel.

… creative shoe use naomi.
Perhaps throwing the shoes with the feathers at someone with an allergy might also be worth considering.
Whatever the use, there is no doubting the usefulness of the non-sensible shoe 🙂
