Sounds to me like civil society has basically up and died. Worse still, too many Australians I meet and talk to, don’t seem to give a rats arse… I just hope they come to their senses when the corpse starts to get on the nose and the maggots get underfoot.

Unfortunately Marcus you’re right but only because people are too busy just trying to get food on the table. Until I found political blogs I was trying to get information from the usual sources which are hardly impartial. There are a lot like me who need another’s brain (thanks Weez) to sort through the dross.

JT, thanks for that. While I know enough about politics and journalism to know the smell of bullshit, don’t ever confuse me with someone impartial! I read about 20 news sources per day. After a spell, you get a feel of how a particular news op is going to spin a story.
