Pittwater voters threw the Lieberals out of their 3rd safest, blue-ribbon seat in NSW- convincingly- with a massive and unprecedented 26% swing to Independent Alex McTaggart.
Was it JerkChoices? Terror laws? Brogden‘s last revenge? Or just that the NSW Lieberals are a bunch of hopeless fuckwits?
Pay attention, Mr Howard- Pittwater is your future.

Having read that a bitter former member of the party added to the demise of this seat – Do you think that Costello could be that person for HoWARd?

Despite a more nebulous sense of national identity compared to other countries like the US & the UK, Australians DO have limits to the patience they have for bad government. I believe the Pittwater rout is the beginning of the end for this particular term of abusive and oppressive government in Australia.
