Wrongful DIMIA detentions: Cornelia Rau times 26

DIMIA have been forced to admit that aside from the extrajudicial 10-month jailing of Cornelia Rau in the Baxter immigration detention facility and the imprisonment and deportation of Vivian Solon Alvarez to the Philippines, 26 more citizens or other lawful residents of Australia have been incarcerated in DIMIA prisons. There’s yet another roughly 175 cases of wrongful DIMIA jailings yet before the Ombudsman.

DIMIA have bought the silence of a number of the victims of wrongful imprisonment at an average cost of around $75,000 per.

Now, I reckon that’s damn good value for money! Had DIMIA illegally incarcerated little old immigrant me, they’d be parting with a lot more than $75K.

Incidentally, I’ll be popping out for a coffee later on this arvo. I could use some extra dough and I don’t have much on for the next week or so. Maybe I could hit the DIMIA lotto, too. I certainly sound ‘foreign’ enough.

How ’bout it, Senator Vanstone?

Hey mate, I just met a woman last night who sold up everything in the US to be here with her kids. After the process started(sold home, moved assets to australia.). She’s in her 60’s, And the “medical” came-up after she was here.Immigration then says, “You may not pass it”
Cost her $25,000 to “Buy” her residency!
After having to leave AUS and come back three times!

I think this will happen again as DIMIA is notoriously racist.
This reminds me of what happened to me when there was a raid at an Italian restaurant of The Rocks where i used to work. They singled out people with certain skin colours (there were some Bangladeshi, Thai, Philippino, and Indonesian). Oddly enough they didnt ask any question to those who have caucasian background.
I then asked them if they would like to question all of the staff and he said, he would. But in fact, none of people with “white” appearance was asked. They did not arrest anyone.
One officer who has Indian background responded to my question why only people with colour skin were asked. I said this is racist and “you executed racist policy”. She felt sorry if i felt that way but DIMIA worked based on information that they received and added that she is not white so this was not a discrimination. I replied, the policy is racist no matter what background that you have, even a wombat can execute racist policy.

Wondering if australians will protest against this as this is threatening something that they are proud of that is multicultural society.

cheers,
citu

citu did sagely muse: “…even a wombat can execute racist policy.”

Too bloody right.

Unfortunately, your doubts about whether Aussies will ever oppose the senseless, racist DIMIA policies are well founded.

~75% of Aussies are not white supremacists, but pretty obviously, some part of the remainder certainly are.
