In fact, by the middle of 1999, females had formed a slight majority of the general population (50.2%) and a marginally wider majority of those eligible to vote (50.7%).

I hope the Liberal party keeps this patronising behaviour highly visible. Women, Ladies, and grrrls all over this country will be able to observe these political dinosaurs of Patriarchy who see women only in the viewfinder of mother, wife and mistress.
